Do you want to get married surrounded by beautiful art? If so, the James A. Michener Art Musem in Doylestown, PA is the perfect venue for your wedding. This non-traditional wedding venue is a unique wedding space.

Although it opened only 33 years ago, this non-profit art center has a unique history. Originally, it was the Bucks County Prison which ran from 1884 to 1985. 

Its ballroom can accommodate up to 200 guests. This stunning Doylestown wedding venue has three areas for both indoor and outdoor celebrations. It has a landscaped courtyard as well as a sculpture garden terrace which used to be a prison yard. They have lots of experience in helping couples celebrate their marriage as they have been hosting weddings for 25 years. 

The starting site fee for wedding receptions at this venue is $2500.00 during peak season. For the off-peak season, it costs $1700.00. his gorgeous Fonthill Castle with stunning Medieval, Gothic, Byzantine architecture was built from 1908 to 1912.

Interestingly enough, this castle museum was originally the home of an American archeologist and tile maker named Henry Chapman Mercer. Mercer designed this historic museum/house and he used it to showcase his collection of prints and Moravian tiles.

Another historic wedding venue near Doylestown PA is the 1927 Aldie Mansion which has Victorian influences. Its style will also remind you of the Roaring Twenties.

It also serves as the headquarters of a non-profit organization known as the Heritage Conservancy. Their function is to conserve natural and historic spaces in Bucks and Montgomery counties in an effort to protect their region’s heritage. 

Surrounded by nature, this beautiful wedding venue is perfect for an outdoor wedding reception. This English Country Estate was the home of William and Martha Mercer. William Mercer was the younger sibling of Henry Mercer, the original owner of the Fonthill Castle.

A lot of the mansion’s architectural details were made by William Mercer. The English Tudor mansion includes Gothic architecture including gargoyles.

Other of the mansion’s features include woodburning fireplaces, antique tiles, carefully preserved garden ornaments, leaded glass windows, tall chimneys, complex brickwork designs, and multiple gardens and water fountains throughout its 10 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds. They also have a 300-year-old Burr Oaktree.

Moreover, it can accommodate up to 220 guests for your wedding. Located just minutes away from Doylestown, PA, Stonebrook Farm has a lot to offer. But first, let us tell you about its history. Since 1859, several generations of the Tyson family have owned and preserved the Stonebrook Farm. The farm comes with a field-stone barn constructed in 1837.

The Stonebrook Farm used to operate as a dairy farm. In recent years, it has served as a gathering spot for the Tyson’s Church and youth group and for several community groups. However, In 2014, the Tysons gained approval to turn it into an event venue. 

This historic wedding venue, which has been in the Tyson family for 8 generations, is the perfect choice for an outdoor wedding. The fully heated and air-conditioned barn can fit up to 150 guests and 170 guests for an extra cost. The rental price ranges from $6,000-$8,000, but they offer plenty of discounts for off-peak seasons, fewer guests, and dry events.
