Historic Rock Ford, also known as the General Edward Hand House, is the former home of Edward Hand, who was adjutant general to George Washington during the American Revolution. This 1794 Georgian-style mansion is surrounded by Lancaster County Central Park and overlooks the Conestoga River, which makes it the perfect backdrop for outdoor or garden weddings.

After this historic estate was renovated and opened in 2007, the inn received a preservation award from the Historical Society. This 1800s farm has preserved its classic architecture and masonry work, which adds a rustic charm to couples’ wedding receptions and ceremonies. Its rustic elements include natural stone and wood features and exposed ceiling beams. 

They have plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces for you to choose from, including a courtyard, a hay barn, a barn hall, and stables. Once home to Zimmerman’s eatery, this building has a rich history as it dates back to the mid-1800s. The Yorgos restaurant began in 1989 when George Katsaros became its new owner. The Yorgos restaurant is a great choice for small or intimate wedding receptions. It serves Greek food, so if you’re planning a traditional Greek wedding this might be the perfect venue for you!
