Although this venue is not exactly in Lima city, we couldn’t keep this beautiful, 150-acre farm off our list. Just a 20-minute drive from Lima, Ohio, this barn-style wedding venue is surrounded by endless waving cornfields.
This fully customizable venue offers plenty of indoor/outdoor spaces for receptions and ceremonies, including a 4,500 square foot barn that can fit up to 200 guests. If you’re going to have an outdoor wedding, their gorgeous pasture has enough space to set up a large tent for parties over 200 people.
The staff at Black Bird Farm can also provide you with a bridal suite and a groom’s den at the newly renovated farmhouse. They offer a variety of packages that include the use of old vintage props (buffets, side tables, etc.) for the perfect rustic vintage wedding. This Old Barn Restaurant & Grill has an interesting history. Originally built in the mid-1860s, the old barn caught on fire after lightning struck the power pole behind the restaurant in 1984. The new barn along with its new stone fireplace was built around the old chimney, which was the only thing that remained standing after the fire.
